Supervision & Training Opportunity
Are you a pre-licensed therapist in California looking for meaningful supervision that supports both your clinical growth and your professional goals?
I’m currently offering supervision to one associate—either a postdoctoral psychological associate or a master’s-level associate (AMFT, APCC, or ASW)—who is looking to deepen their work in a private practice setting, earning hours toward licensure.
🌱 About My Approach to Supervision
My supervision is grounded in:
• Psychoanalytic and psychodynamic principles
• Transference and countertransference awareness as essential tools for understanding and deepening the therapeutic relationship
• Affirming, trauma-informed care for LGBTQ+ and gender-diverse clients
• A strong emphasis on clinical reflection, emotional depth, and relational dynamics
In addition to clinical training, I offer practical mentorship in building and sustaining a private practice, including:
• Navigating referrals, boundaries, and self-disclosure
• Structuring your schedule and setting fees
• Understanding systems (EHR, billing, documentation)
• Cultivating a professional identity that aligns with your values
Who I Work With in Practice
My practice serves:
• Individual adults
• Couples
• Teens (and their families, when appropriate)
I welcome associates who are interested in working with similar populations, particularly those drawn to insight-oriented therapy.
Location & Format
Supervision is conducted in-person and/or remotely and open to associates located anywhere in California, including Los Angeles, the Bay Area, and beyond. You’ll have flexibility in shaping your caseload and schedule, and guidance in establishing your rhythm and boundaries.
Ideal Candidates
You might be a great fit if you:
• Value depth, curiosity, and clinical integrity
• Are drawn to psychoanalytic ideas and relational ways of working
• Want to explore private practice but don’t want to do it alone
• Are reflective, organized, and invested in your professional growth
• Want to explore how transference and countertransference shape the therapy process
